
Ingredients
- 3/4 oz (22.2 ml) Fresh Lemon Juice acidFresh squeezed
- 2 dashes (1.2 ml) Angostura Aromatic Bitters bittersTraditional addition
- 4 oz (118 ml) Hot Water mixerJust below boiling
- 2 oz (59.1 ml) Whiskey spiritBourbon or Scotch
- 1 tbsp (14.8 ml) Honey sweetenerLocal honey preferred
Instructions
- Add 1 tbsp honey to Irish coffee glass or heat-proof mug
- Add 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice and 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- Add 2 oz whiskey
- Top with 4 oz hot water (just below boiling) Water temperature 85-90°C
- Stir gently until honey is fully dissolved
- Garnish with lemon wheel studded with cloves and cinnamon stick
