
Ingredients
- 3/4 oz (22.2 ml) Fresh Lemon JuiceFresh squeezed
- 2 dashes (1.2 ml) Angostura Aromatic BittersTraditional addition
- 4 oz (118 ml) Hot WaterJust below boiling
- 2 oz (59.1 ml) WhiskeyBourbon or Scotch
- 1 tbsp (14.8 ml) HoneyLocal honey preferred
Instructions
- Add 1 tbsp honey to Irish coffee glass or heat-proof mug
- Add 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice and 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- Add 2 oz whiskey
- Top with 4 oz hot water (just below boiling)
Water temperature 85-90°C
- Stir gently until honey is fully dissolved
- Garnish with lemon wheel studded with cloves and cinnamon stick
